Sound therapy found me long before I knew what to call it. As a kid, I’d disappear into the local music store up the road, drawn to the drums, beating on them with zero rhythm and a full heart. Something about the vibration felt like home, as if my body understood it before my mind ever did. My mind could never quite comprehend reading music, but sound always connected with and resonated within my mind, body, and soul. A soft realignment, my energy lifted, my heart opened, and everything felt more at ease. Years later, after life tested me, love cracked me open, and loss and grief rearranged everything I thought I knew, I found my way back to sound through music, attending sound bathes and later on playing for myself and becoming certified. Sound therapy became a bridge between who I was and who I was becoming. This time, it wasn’t just child’s play; it was medicine. It was therapeutic. It was cathartic. Through rhythm, tone, and vibration, sound became a way to calm my nervous system, release grief, soften pain, and remember myself, remember that little girl in the music store, full of heart. It taught me that healing doesn’t always need explanation; sometimes it needs vibration. Sometimes it needs to be felt instead of analyzed. What once felt like a childhood pastime, what started as simple curiosity, grew into a transformational, healing, lifelong love language, one that speaks directly to the body and the heart. How could I not share that?
Now I share it as a reminder: sometimes healing doesn’t come from words, it comes from listening. It doesn’t come from medicine; it comes from stillness and deep listening. I share sound not as a cure, but as an invitation, to slow down, to listen deeply, to breathe, to remember that you are special, you are enough, and that healing can be gentle, powerful, and already inside you.
I wish you all peace, love, and good VIBES on your sound journey!
